7This picture of the School was taken in 1996 for the cover of a book compiled by members of the local community to mark the celebrations of its centenary. The book was edited by the school's current Principal, Donal Carey, and Ann Hyland and Moe Mullin. While documenting the many significant achievements of the school, it is an invaluable record and history of local customs and practices that are no longer part of the way of life of the local community.  For many years I had clung to the memory of many of the local customs and practices, but as the years passed more and more of those memories passed away with them.  Now, thanks to this book, I can revisit them at will.
